Abortion
Paul is pro-life, but opposes all federal laws banning or restricting abortion and birth control, believing that these are matters relegated to state control under the Tenth Amendment. Thinks Roe v. Wade should be overturned and states should decide legality.
Ron Paul's Political Biography

    1963-1968: Flight surgeon with the U.S. Air Force.

    1976: Elected to fill a vacant U.S. House of Representatives seat from Texas, but defeated for re-election after less than one term.

    1979-1984: Returned to U.S. House of Representatives for three terms; voluntarily relinquished his House seat and returned to his medical practice in 1984.

    1984: Ran for the U.S. Senate but lost the Republican primary to Phil Gramm.

    1988: Ran as the Libertarian Party's candidate for president.

    1996-present: Re-elected in 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006 as a Republican U.S. House Representative from Texas.
